Assisting other local first responder agencies with their behavioral wellness programs, cancer prevention methods and injury prevention programs.
Creating the Injury and Illness Prevention Program which includes more than 20 specific policies for the safety (physical and behavioral) of the SDFD workforce.

Throughout his media career Michael has been apart of the six-hour television min-series special for The History Channel entitled "Vietnam in HD" The ten-part series "World War II in HD" and its follow up two hour special, "The Air War". His most recent six hour mini-series for the American Heroes Channel (AHC) entitled "Against the Odds", premiered with record-breaking audience numbers.
He has also directed and co-produced The History Channel's award-winning, two hour television specials, "When Cowboys Were King", "Hollywood's Greatest Villains", "70's Fever" as well as the A&E, special, "Cecil B De Mille" and "The James Woods Biography" among others.

Navy SEAL artist, Pete Carolan graduate in 1968 from BUD/S Class 47, in Coronado, where he was first assigned as a Navy FROGMAN with Underwater Demolition Team 13, and would become the UDT-13 Cartographer for all beach reconnaissance missions when deployed to 2 combat tours of duty in Vietnam.
Later he would be chosen as a swim team leader in the recovery of the famous “Splash-Down” of the Apollo-13 astronauts, Lovell, Haise and Swigert in 1970.
Pete’s art first became internationally famous, as he hand-painted “Freddie the Frog” on the historic recovery helicopter #66, that was seen all over the world during that historic space recovery operation. This same frog now appears on that helicopter, which is on the deck of the U.S.S. Midway Aircraft Carrier Museum, in San Diego Bay.
